And just like last week’s fun with Number 9, They Might Be Giants sound off with another twist on the Number 8 (a twisted zero, actually), once again including music that’s a little bit more lively!

The classic Schoolhouse Rock mathematics series called it “Naughty Number Nine,” playing off some obvious alliteration … and recalling the fun that 9 has with its multiplication rules. Do you know the #9 Math Rule?

They Might be Giants, by the way, are performing in the Bay Area this weekend, including a Free Show on Sunday in San Francisco. Maybe they’ll play a song from their recent album “Here Come The 1-2-3s.”

This year’s shirt is again designed by volunteer parent Phil Mowery of Tread Creative. The logo design embodies our Power in Numbers theme – literally – by blending relevant numbers and mathematical symbols into a superhero of numbers, capable of anything.

Just like our Booksin Students, these numbers come together to form something that is larger than the sum of its parts!

• All students who raise $15 or more will get a free t-shirt when they arrive at Booksin on Walkathon Day.
